We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database Administrator who is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance optimization of enterprise databases, with a focus on supporting project tracking, analytics, and business intelligence. This role involves analyzing project data requirements, designing efficient database structures, and executing ETL processes. The DBA 2 works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing data systems that meet both operational and reporting needs.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database Administrator who is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance optimization of enterprise databases, with a focus on supporting project tracking, analytics, and business intelligence. This role involves analyzing project data requirements, designing efficient database structures, and executing ETL processes. The DBA 2 works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing data systems that meet both operational and reporting needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain enterprise databases (e.g., Oracle), ensuring availability, reliability, and performance.
- Analyze project-related data requirements and design database schemas, tables, and queries to support reporting and dashboards.
- Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support business intelligence and analytics tools.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, backup and recovery operations, and system monitoring.
- Manage user access and enforce database security protocols in compliance with data governance and audit standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate and validate data from project management and ERP systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, procedures, user guides, and system schemas.
- Support ongoing data cleansing and quality assurance efforts.
- Recommend improvements to database performance, structure, and scalability based on system usage and evolving business needs.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in project planning, project controls, or program support.
- Strong working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Proficient in the use of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ability to analyze cost, schedule, and performance data to identify risks or deviations.
- Excellent business communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder updates.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience supporting large-scale, complex programs—especially in a government contracting or defense environment.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Proficiency in developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and performance dashboards.
- Understanding of change management and configuration control processes.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations (if applicable to contracts).
- Certifications such as: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
