Summit Human Capital is seeking a Secret or Top Secret cleared Desktop/Network Support Technician to support a federal program on-site at the Pentagon. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of technical computer networking experience
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
• Experience with ServiceNow and/or Remedy ticketing systems
• Hands-on knowledge of Layer 1 networking infrastructure
• Ability to work on-site daily at the Pentagon
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to support high-level customers
Desired:
• Networking certifications
• Prior experience supporting a Pentagon program
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site
• Work closely with LAN/network admins to ensure desktop and network performance
• Support data communications systems and network infrastructure
• Plan and implement hardware/software upgrades and network changes
• Assist Tier III engineers with incident response and network maintenance
• Install and maintain LAN/WAN devices and cabling
• Respond to incidents promptly and within SLAs
• Submit and carry out standard network change requests
• Help manage inventory and coordinate maintenance or upgrades
• Apply knowledge of VLANs, Layer 2 switching, and port security
• Support end-user software issues when needed
• Communicate with users via phone, email, IM, and document all service interactions
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions
• Work with vendors for hardware support if needed
• Troubleshoot CAC/PKI, VPN, Outlook, and network access issues
• Use Active Directory for user account management
