We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at a contractor-provided Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to operate independently in a classified SIPR environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 24/7 network monitoring, incident detection, and resolution.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain data, voice, and video communications across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Analyze and propose scalable network solutions to meet bandwidth and performance needs.
• Configure and maintain secure network infrastructure in compliance with DoD and Federal regulations.
• Support installs, moves, adds, changes (IMACs), and infrastructure modernization.
• Conduct requirements analysis to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Implement zero-trust architecture and support global access technologies.
• Coordinate with USACE on DAR-related services (e.g., SIPRNet, Iridium, INMARSAT, VSAT).
• Provide reach-back support and troubleshoot issues using ITIL-based ticketing processes.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Advanced Networking Knowledge: Strong grasp of routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and network protocols.
• SIPR/NIPR Administration: Experience managing classified networks.
• Information Assurance (IA): Skilled in documenting IA policies and ensuring compliance.
• ITIL Process Familiarity: Ability to manage and resolve tickets systematically.
• Voice Services: Experience with analog and IP-based voice systems.
• Security & Access Control: Understanding of Port Security, 802.1x, and zero-trust principles.
• Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with TACLANE, VPNs, BRS, and network architecture.
Technical Screening Topics:
• OSI Model and Layer 4
• Differences between routers, switches, and bridges
• Subnetting and broadcast domains
• Common ports
• VLANs, trunk/access ports, subnet sizing
• Routing protocols and IP route commands
