Peerless Technologies Corp is seeking Systems Engineers (SE) with Digital Engineering/Model Based System Engineering (DE/MBSE) experience. The successful candidate must possess demonstrated Digital Engineering and MBSE skills in a variety of environments.
The DE/MBSE SE will develop, implement, and understand system / system-of-system needs and requirements of customers as a function of the systems engineering and mission engineering processes across the DoD mission domains (air, space, land, sea, and cyberspace). The role is multidisciplinary in nature, where Systems Engineers use a Model-based approach broadly across a systems lifecycle for Concept Definition, CONOPS development, requirements definition and allocation, system and product architecture and definition, component (HW and SW) design and implementation, integration & test, verification, validation, operations and sustainment.
The DE/MBSE SE possesses and applies knowledge about various DE and MBSE tools, standards and methods for analysis of complex systems modeling within DE ecosystem.
Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
Applying modern model-based systems engineering approaches that make extensive use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) skills
Elicitation and specification of functional requirements, and decomposition and traceability of those requirements
Synthesizing and extending architectures and understanding different mission domains to include the decomposition of system functionality to its components
Definition and characterization of interfaces
Extending the MBSE models to other higher-fidelity Modeling & Simulation (M&S) tools and environments.
Developing required contract artifacts from digital system models
Tracking task schedules and levels of effort needed to meet program goals and timeline
Providing briefings for technical/modeling capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers
Areas of Technical Interest:
MBSE Model Design Pattern
Systems and System-of-System architectures
Ontology, profile and stereotype development
Various DoD mission domains
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years’ experience; or equivalent combination in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances
Successful candidates in this position will bring a record of application of systems engineering, model-based engineering, digital engineering methods and creative thought-leadership to mature and develop revolutionary digital engineering solutions
Experience using modern MBSE tools (Cameo/NoMagic, Rhapsody, SPARX, etc.)
Extensive systems engineering experience in system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, system architecture, CONOPS, and/or systems verification
Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a challenging, dynamic, fast paced environment
Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
Desired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge in one or more DoD Mission Domain
Experience analyzing requirements and system designs and using modern Systems Engineering toolchains (DOORS, Confluence, JIRA, etc.)
Experience with open systems architecture (OSA)
Familiarity with multidisciplinary analysis and optimization tools and digital engineering lifecycle management tools
Experience integrating MATLAB, AFSIM or other modeling tool inputs/outputs with MBE tools
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience with version control using e.g. Teamwork Cloud, SVN, GitHub
Existing DoD Clearance
