Warfighter Environment Specialist
Key Role:
Monitor and understand the SOUTHCOM user and warfighter environment. Identify technology warfighters' needs and understand how they interact with the EIE. Prioritize warfighter experience (WX) by ensuring that current and future capabilities are intuitive, performant, and resilient and contribute to overall mission success. Ensure that user interactions with the system are seamless and efficient. Collect and extract data utilizing technical sensors and warfighter feedback to inform operationally relevant and proactive insights to improve the WX. Provide a proactive and data-driven approach to anticipating and preventing issues before they arise, including incident trending to identify problems, degradations, or outages for immediate escalation or higher-level review. Recommend optimization steps regularly to increase warfighter benefits, value, and satisfaction.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in user experience ( UX ) design with a focus on large-scale systems and complex environments, including in military or defense contexts
- Experience creating seamless, integrated digital experiences that meet users' needs and operational requirements
- Experience providing intuitive and adaptive UX that enhances usability, decision-making, and efficiency in high-pressure, mission-critical environments
- Experience with data-driven methodologies to optimize user experiences and ensure systems meet user needs while maintaining operational readiness
- Knowledge of UX principles, including usability, accessibility, and user- center ed design
- Ability to apply UX principles in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and refinement of user experiences, ensuring high-quality deliverables and positive user outcomes
- Ability to work closely with technical, operational, and leadership teams
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience supporting USSOUTHCOM or other combatant commands
- Experience working with both human and technical sensors to gather and analyze user feedback and operational data
- Knowledge of DoD standards and policies related to UX design and development, including Agile methodologies and design tools
- Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills
- TS / SCI clearance
