Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking multiple Acquisition Specialists to join our SETA team in El Segundo, CA. We are providing specialized technical advisory support services to the US Space Force's Space Systems Command and Space Operations. This role requires a minimum Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities of the Acquisitions Specialist:
· Advise Program and Project Managers on acquisition strategies, timelines, contract planning, budgeting, and execution
· Lead the development of acquisition documentation, program schedules, and executive-level briefings
· Organize and facilitate program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and status updates
· Draft and coordinate acquisition planning documents
· Evaluate contractor performance during design and milestone reviews, identifying risks, issues, and alignment with mission objectives
· Support financial planning and execution, including tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and preparing funding documentation and monthly financial reports
Qualifications of the Acquisitions Specialist:
· 10+ years of experience in DoD weapon systems acquisition, program management or contracts management
· Strong knowledge of DoD major capability acquisition processes, joint capabilities integration and development system, and planning, programming, budgeting and execution process
· Extensive experience authoring, revising, and coordinating program planning/execution documents
· Experience in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management or experience with contracts management within DoD
· Bachelor's degree in related field (Master's degree preferred)
· Must have an Active Top-Secret clearance (SCI Eligible)
Compensation of the Acquisition Specialist:
· Salary: Between $160,000 - $200,000 *commensurate with experience*
