Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Senior Senior IT Analyst for the Department of Defense (DoD) DMDC Enterprise Law Enforcement Support Services (ELEs2)program. In this role you will work in coordination with the Knowledge Transfer Team. You will ensure that all required knowledge, artifacts and repositories associated with ELES2 facial recognition platform are effectively transitioned.

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your advanced analytical skills and deep understanding of fraud detection techniques to identify, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent activities. You will play a crucial part in safeguarding our organization and enhancing our fraud prevention strategies.

You will analyze data, monitor transactions, and flag suspicious activity to mitigate losses and maintain compliance. Your role also includes collaborating with other team members, developing fraud prevention strategies, and staying informed about industry trends.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated fraud detection models using statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to proactively identify potential fraud.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activities, utilizing data analysis and forensic techniques to gather evidence and present findings.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective fraud prevention measures are in place.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in fraud activity to inform and enhance current fraud detection strategies and tools.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, outlining findings, trends, and recommendations for reducing fraud risk.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into flagged transactions, including reviewing documentation, conducting interviews, and potentially coordinating with law enforcement.
  • Use digital surveillance and data analysis tools to supervise high volumes of transactions and identify high-risk ones.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Ability to achieve Public Trust
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Deep understanding of fraud detection methodologies and experience with implementing fraud prevention technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
Preferred:
  • Experience with machine learning techniques for fraud detection and prevention.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems and industry regulations related to fraud.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
