Description

SAIC is seeking a MCIS METOC SME to support our team in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Duties:
  • Deliver instruction as required for all Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) POIs.
  • Deliver instruction as required for all intelligence related POIs within Marine Corps Detachment Dam Neck.
  • Develop curricula as required in support of all METOC POIs.
  • Analyze the impact of current plans, policies, and POIs; recommend actions to optimize resources and mission success. Assist MARDET Dam Neck Course Chiefs, and Course Instructors with METOC specific curriculum development and METOC specific curriculum validation as required for MARDET Dam Neck POIs.
  • Manage METOC POIs within the Marine Corps Training Instructional Management System (MCTIMS).
  • Assess requirements for and develop curriculum for emergent METOC related training.
  • Manage, develop, deliver, and evaluate online METOC education and training content.
  • Draft documents to support MCIS Operations and Academics with Course Curriculum Review Boards (CCRBs), Training and Readiness (T&R) Manual Working Groups and Program of Instruction validation.
  • Provide assessments and support on matters relating to the training of METOC professionals.
  • Monitors projects in support of MCIS and the Intelligence community which impact METOC training requirements.
  • Evaluate USMC METOC training and procedures IAW applicable approved POIs.
  • Maintain awareness of METOC and other intelligence related training courses on evolving TTPs and training methodology.
  • Evaluate management implications of current plans, policies, procedures, and enhancements while developing recommended courses of action to ensure optimum resource utilization and effective mission accomplishment.
  • Conduct and provide briefings to Fleet Marine Forces (FMF), and supporting establishment on USMC SAT, and MCIS training.
  • Draft and coordinate curriculum management documents to include maintaining and updating curriculum in accordance with specific guidelines, i.e., Marine Corps Orders and Directives, the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) process, and the METOC and Intelligence T&R Manuals.
  • Draft knowledge and performance objectives, development of measurement devices including surveys, and analyze measurement results.
  • Support the oversight of course testing databases and student registration functions within MCTIMS.
  • Draft documents to support MCIS Operations and Academics with Course Curriculum Review Boards, Training and Readiness Manual Working Groups and Program of Instruction validation.
  • Draft tasks and responses for MCIS Operations utilizing Department of the Navy Tasking, Records and Consolidated Knowledge Enterprise Repository (TMT).
  • Provide weather event updates that affect MCIS and all MCIS detachments.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • High School diploma and six (6) years or more of related experience; per program specifications, a Bachelor's degree will not be accepted in lieu of experience.

Required Clearance:
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance.
