Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior OEM Manager to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Manager leads advanced technical support and lifecycle management for OEM hardware and software systems within a secure DoD IT environment. This role serves as the primary escalation point for Tier IV issues, collaborates closely with vendors and OEM engineers, and ensures optimal integration, supportability, and performance of enterprise infrastructure. The position demands a deep understanding of OEM platforms, IT service delivery, and DoD compliance requirements.

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior OEM Manager to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Manager leads advanced technical support and lifecycle management for OEM hardware and software systems within a secure DoD IT environment. This role serves as the primary escalation point for Tier IV issues, collaborates closely with vendors and OEM engineers, and ensures optimal integration, supportability, and performance of enterprise infrastructure. The position demands a deep understanding of OEM platforms, IT service delivery, and DoD compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Tier IV escalations for OEM-related hardware/software platforms, ensuring resolution of complex technical issues
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and OEM vendors (e.g., Dell, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft) to coordinate support, patching, and maintenance
- Direct the planning and implementation of firmware upgrades, BIOS updates, and hardware lifecycle refresh activities
- Maintain expert-level documentation on OEM systems, configurations, performance metrics, and change records
- Guide system engineering teams on OEM integration best practices, architecture decisions, and support readiness
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure OEM hardware/software complies with STIGs, IAVAs, and DoD security mandates
- Participate in change review boards and ensure all changes related to OEM assets follow ITIL and configuration management standards
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis on critical OEM platforms
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Tier II/III technicians regarding OEM platform maintenance and support escalation procedures
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations with a minimum of 3 years in OEM platform management at Tier IV level
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and OEM platforms
- Demonstrated experience working in a DoD environment with DISA STIG compliance and RMF processes
- Proven ability to interface with high-level vendor support and manage warranty/contract support cases
Desired:
- Master's degree in related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working in geographically dispersed, high-availability environments
- Experience leading system migrations and hardware refresh initiatives
- VMware VDP/VCAPC
Clearance:
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
