Systems Administrator roles are hands-on technical resources responsible for receiving and 'troubleshooting' recorded incidents in the technical environment and documenting incidents, triage, troubleshooting and resolution. The ideal candidate has experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell Data Domain appliances in a large-scale enterprise and holds a current/active MBI and laptop/PC with the Internal Revenue Service.

There are two available positions/shifts: Monday - Friday, 5 PM - 12 AM EST and 12 AM - 8 AM EST

Primary Position Tasks

Support engineering team in planning work activities
Conduct ‘hands-on’ engineering activities across multiple system administration technologies
Support operations on a 24x7 basis (i.e., shift schedule that includes non-standard business hours)
Provide and/or support the development of technical documentation related to support, training, and transitioning
Develop and maintain documentation of system policies, procedures, processes, and configurations
Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills, while working effectively with customers and team members, including partners and vendors.


Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements

2-5 years of system administration, including analysis, installation, configuration, documentation, and maintenance
Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to operate independently while still aligning to lifecycle, directed prioritization and team based execution

Ideal Candidates possesses:

Experience with VMWare Tanzu Greenplum physical server hosting administration in a large-scale enterprise
Experience with Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) application hosting on VMWare vSphere/ESXi in a large-scale enterprise
Experience with Backup/Recovery with Data Domains in a large-scale enterprise
Experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME), Data Domain Management Center (DDMC) and Networker in a large-scale enterprise
Experience with Ansible for remote execution on servers in a large-scale enterprise
Experience change management and patching servers and software in a large-scale enterprise
Experience working with the needs of database users, admins and applications in relation to infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise
Experience with network switches and working with local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and security personnel in a large-scale enterprise
Experience in design, build, configure, test, deployment and maintenance of Greenplum version 6 hosting on hundreds of physical Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) accessible over IP4 and IPv6 networks.
Current/active MBI and laptop/PC with the Internal Revenue Service.
Familiar with IRS lifecycle and programs (e.g., RRP, IPM, etc.)
