PURVIS Systems is seeking resumes for a full-time Logistician to provide comprehensive support to the Engineering Support Request System (ESRS) process. The Logistician position is for a future opportunity/growth we are pursuing. The Logistician will possess a thorough understanding of the procedures and requirements associated with our government client, NAVSUP (Naval Supply Systems Command), and DLA (Defense Logistics Agency).
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
Access the ESRS to retrieve newly submitted DLA Form 339 requests.
Review each new DLA Form 339 to verify proper assignment.
Accurately input all new DLA Form 339 requests into the managed DLA-339 tracking database.
Conduct a preliminary evaluation of each request to determine whether engineering support is required or if it can be addressed by the Integrated Logistics Support team.
Perform comprehensive technical research for each DLA Form 339 to ensure accuracy and completeness of the final response.
Generate and submit all required reports to the customer in accordance with established timelines and requirements.
Participate in weekly working group meetings to stay aligned with project updates and customer expectations.
Maintain regular communication with the customer to ensure consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 7 years professional experience.
US Navy service in the submarine force is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in processing DLA Form 339 requests.
Strong working knowledge of logistics systems and resources, including Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS), Federal Logistics (FEDLOG), and the One-Touch Supply database.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting U.S. Navy technical drawings and schematics is essential.
Familiarity with U.S. Navy submarine Imaging and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems is highly desirable.
