Responsibilities
The Software Developer/Data Scientist/Computer Scientist (Remote) will provide expert technical, engineering and software development, testing and software maintenance support services to NSWCPD for cybersecurity improvements to U.S. Navy platforms to include Propulsion, Electrical Plant, Machinery Control, Steering Control, Navigation, Shipboard Network Systems, and other shipboard control systems related to the development, implementation and execution of the Navy's acquisition and modernization programs. Will also develop and manage support documentation for various Navy processes including SEP and RMF. Will use/modify/create relational databases, queries, reports to track project management metrics. Generate reports in PowerBI for command dashboards for multiple audiences. Implement requirements as designated by NSWCPD Cyber Stakeholders including Chief of Cybersecurity stakeholders, NSWCPD A&A Team, Dept and Divisional Cyber Leads. Modify existing Dataverse databases to include additional columns, dashboards, reports, etc. Write, Troubleshoot, Monitor Power Automate Flows to provide automated notifications to NSWCPD users given a set of requirements. Create technical documentation including design documents, user guides, etc. for end users of the application(s). Assist with administering user accounts within the application, assign licenses, monitor application usage. Virtually attend several weekly meetings to support different stakeholder groups in collecting user stories and feedback. Work independently given a backlog of tasks and prioritization. Will coordinate during weekly sprint sessions and daily standups.
Will also develop and manage support documentation for various Navy processes including SEP and RMF.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Mathematics or a BS STEM degree from an accredited university. A concentration in computer science is highly desired.
Work Experience: Required 2 (two) to five (5) years of related experience.
Must Haves:
Experience with PowerBI, PowerApps and PowerAutomate Experience with using, modifying, and creating relational databases, queries, reports to track project management metrics. Experience with generating reports in PowerBI for command dashboards for multiple audiences. Ability to implement requirements as designated by NSWCPD Cyber Stakeholders, NSWCPD A&A Team, Dept and Divisional Cyber Leads. Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain one of the following certifications within 90 days: CCNA-Security, CySA+ **, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, CND or SSCP.
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 . Please note that any salary information disclosed is a general guideline only.
