Requirements
- Strategic S&T Advisory
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) advising DEVCOM-AC leadership on strategies, technical approaches, and opportunities to advance S&T initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and long-term goals.
- Program Integration & Planning
Lead the development and integration of research and exploratory development programs, ensuring alignment with DEVCOM-AC's strategic direction and technical capabilities.
- Strategic Process Support
Conduct specialized strategic management tasks including analysis, implementation, and reporting for DEVCOM-AC's Strategic Planning processes, Command Performance Indicators (CPIs), and technical surveys.
- Process Modernization
Recommend and support the implementation of updated technologies to enhance existing operational business processes across DEVCOM-AC.
- Systems Engineering Oversight
Coordinate with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to oversee System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) processes for new engineering projects, ensuring incorporation of cybersecurity and emerging threat detection technologies where applicable.
- Infrastructure and Laboratory Support
Collaborate with government personnel to assess the needs of equipment, infrastructure, and scientific laboratories across DEVCOM-AC and other government facilities. Design, procure, and install equipment and materials, and recommend improvements including automation and modernization of existing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience, preferably within a DoD or government research and development environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in science and technology planning, systems engineering, and strategic process implementation.
- Experience with SELC methodologies and technology modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and lab systems in a government or research setting, including automation and equipment integration.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.
