Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience with delivering technical solutions and programs within the federal government, and managing profit and loss to maximize business impact
  • Experience in account management, client service, or management consulting
  • Experience leading a professional services/consulting organization and evaluating deals for business outcomes
  • Active, or the ability to obtain, Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver successful solutions
  • Proven ability to present technical materials effectively to stakeholder groups and engage effectively with senior executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions

About the job

As the Director of Google Public Sector Services (GPSS), you will be responsible for managing a team of delivery specialists across education, state, local and federal government accounts.

In this role, you will act as a partner to internal/external stakeholders/partners to exercise your mastery of translating commercial business models/needs into solutions across the stakeholder/partner lifecycle, creating a transformational impact for Google and the industry. You will own and develop executive-level relationships with internal/external stakeholders/partners and deliver excellent customer care to achieve Google's goals. You'll advise and influence your function, business, and industry through advice/counsel related to Google products and business strategy, driving decision-making with senior leaders across multiple domains.

This leader will establish and maintain a position as key strategic advisor to business executives and IT stakeholders with some of Google Cloud's largest Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and Sovereign cloud accounts, ensuring their business priorities are met using Google Cloud solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $315,000-$439,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful migrations to Google Cloud solutions.
  • Become a trusted expert in Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and sovereign cloud solutions to provide effective operational and technical advice around these technologies.
  • Channel customers' feedback to Google product management and engineering to ensure the best possible in-production experience, and assist in prioritizing product requirements by communicating customer needs and impact. Drive operational improvements at Google based on customer insights.
  • Develop best practice recommendations for Google Cloud partners based on the experience gained during customer engagements.
  • Understand unique challenges of federal programs and collaborate in Google to overcome these challenges. Integrate with Google technology and customer environments, contracting challenges with Google as prime, etc.
