We are seeking a cleared Systems Engineer with expertise in Network Engineering and Cisco Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems to support a mission-critical, air-gapped network operating at the Secret classification level. This role requires technical proficiency in secure network infrastructure and VTC architectures, combined with a disciplined approach to configuration management and security compliance. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of highly sensitive systems and ensuring uninterrupted communication capabilities within a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Engineering
• Design, implement, and maintain air-gapped LAN/WAN environments operating at the Secret level.
• Configure and harden routers, switches, and firewalls in accordance with DoD SCAPs and STIGs.
• Manage secure IP addressing, VLAN segmentation, and routing protocols within closed, controlled systems.
• Conduct network performance tuning and diagnostics while maintaining audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable cybersecurity and network architecture policies, including physical and logical segmentation. Comms Engineering
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco VTC & VOIP solutions (e.g., Instant messaging, Webex Video Meetings, CUCM, TMS) on air-gapped networks.
• Familiar and knowledgeable with Cisco Endpoints such as Room Kit Series, Room Bar Series and various VoIP Phones.
Participates in design, integration and support of various Audio and Video control systems such as Crestron and AMX in conjunction with Cisco Endpoints.
• Coordinate with security and facility teams to ensure all video/audio devices meet cross-domain and OPSEC requirements.
• Maintain change control documentation and track VTC assets according to classified asset management procedures.
• Assist in customer site surveys, including collecting and recording detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes, to provide overall system cost for A/V projects.
Qualifications:
• Active Secret clearance (or higher) and U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in secure network and Cisco VTC engineering roles.
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager, CUCM, and other collaboration infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, VLANs, QoS, VoIP, SIP/H.323 protocols in closed systems.
• Security + and CCNA certified or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience working in DoD or IC environments, adhering to cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
