We want you to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5LE2 Program in the Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance, and Controls (PSOC) team by joining the Structures Mechanical Engineering group as a D5LE2 Nose Fairing IPT Lead for natural composites.
The selected candidate will be involved in driving programmatic direction of the Nose Fairing Team to the cost, schedule, and technical for the natural composites option. This includes familiarity and ability to create schedules, effective communication with relevant stakeholders, Earned Value Management, and creating relationships with customer counterparts.
Note: US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
As an IPT lead for natural composite Nose Fairing on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will:
• Work with related SME's to plan, develop, and communicate test plan to relevant stakeholders
• Lead effort with subcontracts to identify potential suppliers to meet supply and manufacturing needs
• Create and manage schedule and track performance to cost, schedule, and technical milestones
• Assist in development of requirements and SOWs for quotes
• Execute in a fast-paced environment
• Create and communicate at various program reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Working Groups, etc.
• Effectively communicate to various levels of leadership, both technical and non-technical
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a design role or Project Management
• Proven self-starter with demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical, project and resource challenges
• Experience creating and baselining schedules
• Earned Value Management experience
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc)
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated performance of being part of program development reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Experience with frequent customer interface and leadership interface
• Experience with proposals and Basis of Estimates

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
