We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer (Windows) to join a dynamic team supporting the FBI's Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of Windows-based infrastructure critical to national security operations.

We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer (Windows) to join a dynamic team supporting the FBI's Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of Windows-based infrastructure critical to national security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Windows environment expert, ensuring optimal system performance and security within the SOC.
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based infrastructure in support of FBI operations.
- Support physical and virtual systems across multiple security enclaves, adhering to strict security protocols.
- Provide technical solutions for DNS, DHCP, DFS, print systems, and other enterprise services.
- Monitor system performance, identify vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot security-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Develop automation scripts to enhance efficiency and security compliance in a mission-critical environment.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts, cybersecurity teams, and other IT specialists to resolve complex system challenges.
- Engineer and maintain the baseline Windows Server image, ensuring alignment with FBI cybersecurity standards.
- This role is 100% onsite
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI / CI-Poly in compliance with FBI security protocols.
- Minimum 5+ years of industry experience in Windows systems engineering.
- Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, DFS, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.
- Expertise in Windows system administration and security hardening for sensitive environments.
- Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.
- VMWare vSphere 7 experience
- Cisco Networking
- Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience
- Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization and the FBI's ATO processes
- Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations
- Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, MDT, WDS, and WIM.
- Familiarity with STIG compliance and deploying applications within a highly regulated federal environment.
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation and security optimization.
- Background in SOC operations or collaboration with cybersecurity professionals in a federal setting.

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
