Tyto Athene is searching for a Computer Analyst - Journeyman to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Journeyman Computer Analyst provides white-glove support for VIPs, including generals, Senior Executive Service (SES) members, and other high-ranking officials. This role assists in gathering requirements, troubleshooting software/hardware issues, and improving system performance, often serving as a key contributor on IT project teams in DoD environments.

Tyto Athene is searching for a Computer Analyst - Journeyman to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Journeyman Computer Analyst provides white-glove support for VIPs, including generals, Senior Executive Service (SES) members, and other high-ranking officials. This role assists in gathering requirements, troubleshooting software/hardware issues, and improving system performance, often serving as a key contributor on IT project teams in DoD environments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network system issues across various platforms
- Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of mobile devices and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, making sure they work smoothly for important meetings and communications
- Delivers consistent, efficient service by assigning the same technician for each interaction. Collaborates with senior staff to assess VIP needs and determine the appropriate level of support based on the number of high-priority users
- Support data collection, validation, and reporting across mission systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, and system specifications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements
- Work with senior analysts, developers, and engineers to test, validate, and deploy system updates or solutions
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and data handling requirements
Required:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
- 4-9 years of experience in IT systems support, analysis, or operations
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), database fundamentals, and system tools
- Experience with troubleshooting software/hardware/network issues in a DoD or enterprise environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with end users and technical teams
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience supporting DoD systems and knowledge of DISA standards
- Exposure to scripting or data query languages
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
- ITIL v4 Foundations or higher
Clearance:
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- CompTIA Network+ CE
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AZ-104

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position.
