Top Secret cleared Ground Systems Engineer

Our client, a large government integrator located in Aurora, CO, is looking to hire a Top Secret cleared Ground System Engineer (GSE) for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work onsite to provide real time, operational support to Space Force crews and contractor test teams for the operation and maintenance of system software and equipment (identifying system problems, trouble shooting, and correcting both software and hardware failures). The GSE will perform software maintenance support for Linux, AIX, SGI, PC compatible computers, and associated switching, network, and communications circuits and equipment.

The consultant will conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases as well as provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical ground malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.

The GSE provides failure analysis of the performance of the ground telemetry data and utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years experience in relevant roles
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance (with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance)
• Must be able to support 24×7 operations environment (Panama Schedule)
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Ability to perform software maintenance support for Linux, AIX, SGI, PC compatible computers, and associated switching, network, and communications circuits and equipment.
• Able to provide limited SYBASE system administration support for multiple system databases.
• Experience assisting in configuration management in software upgrades and changes.
• Experience monitoring system performance and data backups.
• Must be willing to travel to other bases in Colorado
