Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of a high-visibility defense contract, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, including government clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of DoD or Navy acquisition processes, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage complex programs from initiation through execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead for all contractual matters, ensuring compliance and successful delivery of program requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with government stakeholders, including communication with SES/Flag-level personnel.
- Provide leadership and oversight to project teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional partners.
- Monitor program performance, budgets, and schedules, and ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure program alignment with government priorities and objectives.
- Drive strategic planning and execution in accordance with DoD/DoN procedures and policies.
- Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities and ensure integration of Naval Science and Technology (S&T) strategies and Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a Science discipline. - Experience:
- 15 years of professional experience in program/project management in DoD or Navy acquisition.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience, including management of teams and coordination with senior-level stakeholders.
- Proven experience communicating with SES/Flag-level personnel.
- Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition processes.
- Experience with Naval S&T strategies, FNC programs, and Foreign Military Sales.
- Strong understanding of DoD and Navy acquisition frameworks and procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
