The Opportunity:

You can be a Geospatial Developer anywhere so how do you choose the right position? If you're looking for the opportunity to work directly in support of the Army warfighter, then this role is your opportunity to have an impact. As a Geospatial Developer, you will provide Geographic Information Systems ( GIS ) maps and web services in support of various mission command training capabilities that enhance unit readiness. You'll participate in the production of service-based maps using geo-specific source data. As part of Booz Allen, you'll enhance the hands-on knowledge and increase the capability of the Army warfighter.

As a Geospatial Developer, you will lead efforts in the development of new map content and services based upon training needs within the Army Reserve, demonstrate effective analysis and map developer skills, apply knowledge of web services, and assess quality and performance of maps within an ArcGIS Online server environment. You will leverage your technical abilities to provide geospatial support while working with technical teams on-site to support training events. You will collaborate within a team environment to develop, modify, refine, and validate geospatial map products utilizing best practices and exceed industry standards.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online sof tware
  • 5+ years of experience working in military geospatial operations
  • Knowledge of the ArcGIS Online environment in conjunction with ArcGIS Pro feature services
  • Knowledge of raster datasets and their function within the ESRI sof tware suite of products
  • Ability to communicate geospatial concepts to non-geospatial stakeholders in both internal and client settings
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with Army geospatial datasets
  • Experience in the military as a Geospatial Engineer, Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst, Technical Engineer, or equivalent in other service branches
  • Knowledge of Army systems or platforms such as CPCE, MMC-S, JBC-P, and JDLM
  • Ability to interface with a wide variety of technical personnel at different levels of proficiency
  • Ability to be a self-starter, have strong team ethic, and handle work in a dynamic environment
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
