Overview:
Quantum Research International, Inc. Mission:
Quantum is seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Software Developer to provide Software Development, Network and AWS Cloud support inside Quantum's Software Factory to DoD, MDA, BIA, OGA, and commercial customers for development and integration efforts associated with innovations for Space, Near Space, Space Control, Missile Defense Capabilities, resource management, and information operations supporting a myriad of customers and end users. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with peer developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Learn and apply programming best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
- Pair program and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues and work towards continuous improvement.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities, both independently and through mentorship.
- Lead teams for projects and mentor junior and mid developers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree with a proven record of experience.
- 10+ years of experience in industry-relevant software development.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and maintain this clearance level during their employment.
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, including but not limited to: Data Sructures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging and problem-solving skills, version control (e.g. Git).
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
- Exposure to software development methodologies.
- Experience with any programming languages.
- Proficiency in office technology and equipment, such as computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and phone systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills (or a desire to mentor and lead).
Desired Skills:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment
- Experience with web development technologies.
- Network Engineering skills.
- AWS Cloud Engineering skills.
- Strong planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and task and time management skills.
- Willing to travel as needed/ required.
