Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Tester to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior Tester leads the planning, development, execution, and reporting of software and system testing activities to ensure high-quality product delivery in alignment with DoD and project standards for USSOUTHCOM. The role includes leading the teams, mentoring junior testers, and engaging with development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to implement testing best practices across Agile, DevSecOps, or traditional lifecycles.

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Tester to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior Tester leads the planning, development, execution, and reporting of software and system testing activities to ensure high-quality product delivery in alignment with DoD and project standards for USSOUTHCOM. The role includes leading the teams, mentoring junior testers, and engaging with development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to implement testing best practices across Agile, DevSecOps, or traditional lifecycles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
- Coordinate and oversee test environments, tools, and data needed for testing activities
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to validate requirements and resolve defects
- Conduct risk-based testing and prioritize test coverage accordingly
- Provide traceability from test cases to requirements and document test results in accordance with program standards
- Perform automated and manual testing and analyze test failures to determine roots causes
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or TestComplete
- Participate in project planning, daily standups and retrospectives
- Ensure test procedures are compliant with DoD cybersecurity standards and RMF process improvement initiatives
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software/system testing, including automated and manual testing
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid SDLCs
- Strong understanding of testing concepts such as test case design, detect lifecycle, and test reporting
- Hands-on experience with testing management tools
- Familiarity with scripting languages
Desired:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in test automation for APIs, web, and mobile applications
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of DoD testing standards, RMF, STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance
- Experience working in secure, classified environments or DoD networks
- Strong written in secure, classified environments or DoD networks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including test documentation and briefing results to leadership
- Automated testing tool certifications
Clearance:
- TS/SCI clearance required
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE.
- Certified tester - Foundational Level or equivalent

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
