The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support a customer out of Maui, Hawai'i .
The candidate will be responsible supporting all operations and practices associated with the logistical team primarily located at the Kahului Logistics Center. Assist with the daily duties of shipping, receiving and tracking equipment to various location on Maui in support of the DoD mission.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties & job functions would include but are not limited to:
Environmental Factors: Works in indoor and outdoor environments that contain excessive heat, cold and humidity, excessive dampness, dust, solvents grease, oils, moving object or vehicles and slippery or uneven surfaces. Routinely will be working at over 10,000ft elevation.
Physical Effort: Frequently lifts items and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds, with 2-man assist. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stretching for prolonged periods will be necessary.

- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or applicable on-site knowledge from prior industry experiences.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to write daily correspondence to the government customer.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to work cooperatively and safely with others on common projects.
- Ability to train all-site staff on Haz Waste communications, handling, & IAP protocol.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, as well as present training to small groups of employees.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- U.S. Military experience preferred.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
