FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: designing, developing, analyzing, and employing passive and active sonar training systems (such as course content, materials, technical accuracy) in support of training programs to include underwater acoustic modeling, acoustic analysis, target motion analysis, and range prediction systems (such as tactics, system operations, capabilities, limitations, operating guidelines, doctrine, acoustic operations plan) to achieve certification standards and improve at sea performance.

- You will facilitate established training in tactics that support the use and employment of acoustic systems, tools, techniques and procedures.
- You will apply fact-finding and investigative techniques; oral and written communications; and development of presentations and reports.
- You will analyze reconstruction results, operational measures of performance and critique reports.
- You will identify gaps and provide responsive training for immediate correction of areas of improvement in acoustic tactics, doctrine, and required operational capabilities.
- You will advise Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) leadership in the development, planning, execution, and reconstruct of U.S. Navy SURTASS operations and fleet exercises.
- You will identify gaps in SURTASS employment, tactics, doctrine, and required operational capabilities.
- You will serve as SURTASS military detachment operations REACHBACK support including technical solutions for operational issues, tactical employment of passive and active acoustic systems, underwater acoustic modeling, and range prediction systems.
- You will develop and analyze performance evaluations, lessons learned, training and remedial training reports and plans for SURTASS and fixed watch teams.
- You will create, develop, and maintain training workshops, synthetic battle problems, and training materials that effectively teach sonar theory, physics, concepts, IUSS operations, communications and the execution of IUSS mission objectives.

- Work at times requires the incumbent to board Navy vessels for a period of 30 days or more.
- Incumbent must pass an acoustic analysis and target motion analysis test.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.
