Tyto Athene is searching for a Change Manager - Journeyman to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Journeyman Change Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating IT change management activities at USSOUTHCOM. This role ensures all IT changes are assessed, documented, approved, and implemented, according to established policies and ITIL best practices. The candidate will work closely with Configuration Management, Incident and Problem Management teams to ensure effective communication and minimal disruption to service.

The Journeyman Change Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating IT change management activities at USSOUTHCOM. This role ensures all IT changes are assessed, documented, approved, and implemented, according to established policies and ITIL best practices. The candidate will work closely with Configuration Management, Incident and Problem Management teams to ensure effective communication and minimal disruption to service.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and maintain the enterprise-wide Change Management process is alignment with ITIL and DoD standards
- Coordinate, assess, and review change request to ensure accuracy, impact analysis, and proper approvals
- Support and facilitate the Technical Review and the Change Review Boards, ensuring proper representation and documentation
- Monitor and track changes to ensure successful implementation and post-change validation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of change using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- Identify and mitigate risk associated with change implementations
- Provide reports and metrics to leadership on change statuses and identified areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and operations teams to understand the risk posture of planned changes
Required:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 4-9 years of experience in IT service management, with a focus on change management
- Experience supporting enterprise-level or government/DoD IT systems
- Familiarity with ITIL v3 or v4 Change Management processes
- Experience facilitating change review boards and tracking changes using ITSM tools
- Understanding of impact analysis and service configuration relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience in a DoDIN or DoD IT environment.
- Familiarity with security impact of changes and RMF/DIACAP frameworks
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or application deployments

- Secret clearance required
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- ITIL v4 Foundation

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
