Position Description:
The Subscriber Technical Integration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the seamless technical alignment of cloud and on-premises subscribers to the CSSP. This role involves routing subscriber application traffic through the CSSP's network security stack (VDSS) providing Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Break and Inspect functionalities, deploying a comprehensive security tool suite, and working closely with subscribers to install and ensure the proper functioning of security tools. The engineer will leverage their expertise in network security, cloud environments, and security tools to facilitate effective integration and support subscriber security needs.
Position Requirements and Duties:
• Work collaboratively with subscribers to comprehend their technical environments and security needs.
• Direct customer application traffic through the CSSP network security stack (VDSS) for WAF security and Break and Inspect functionalities.
• Install, configure, and oversee various security tools within customer settings.
• Aid customers in the setup and configuration of security tools to guarantee their proper function.
• Conduct technical evaluations of customer architectures to ensure compatibility with CSSP services.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting throughout and following the integration process.
• Create and update integration documentation, including configuration guides and workflow processes.
• Hold technical planning sessions with subscribers to integrate their infrastructure with CSSP service offerings.
• Monitor and assess the performance and efficacy of security tools post-integration.
• Remain informed about the latest trends in network security, cloud technologies, and security tools.
• Work with internal CSSP teams to improve and fine-tune service delivery procedures.
• Verify all integrations adhere to applicable security standards and best practices.
• Deliver training and support to subscribers on the operation and management of security tools.
• Possess experience with on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Be versed in DevSecOps practices and automation tools.
• Comprehend cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Possess certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Specialize in scripting and automation, with proficiency in Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Maintain CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Fulfill DoDD 8140/8570 requirements.
Requirements:
• Active Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain SCI
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems specifically with Red Hat
• Experience with Linux server administration
• Proficient with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and other Linux-based services.
• Experience with F5/NGINX, AppProtect, and Palo Altos for VPN tunnels
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi
• Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/S, etc.)
• Strong experience deploying and managing containers
• Experience with shell scripting and automation using Ansible
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Container orchestration and container deployments
Highly Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
• Experience with SAFe methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite
• Experience working in classified environments
• Certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or CompTIA Linux+
