Job Overview:
Tactical Training Group, Pacific’s (TTGP) and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific’s (EWTGPAC) primary mission is to train Carrier Strike Groups (CSG), Expeditionary Strike Groups (ESG), Amphibious Ready Groups (ARG), and Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU) for Commander THIRD and SEVENTH Fleets in doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures. TTGP and EWTGPAC training immerses staffs for operations in current and emerging warfare areas as well as integrated Naval, Joint, Coalition and Combined environments to achieve Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP), Seventh Fleet Training Plan (SFTP), and Joint Training Plan requirements. In addition, TTGP and EWTGPAC provide Strike Group / ARG Commanders a forum for assessing their readiness for deployed operations, deliberate and crisis action planning and Joint Task Force (JTF) contingency operations.
This position resides in the Operations Department covering a wide range of professional services relating to command, control, communications, computers, combat systems and intelligence (C5I) training. These services include instruction, evaluation, scenario development, and course management, as well as flexible C5I support for all training events.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Lecture, develop and improve course materials, and manage the planning and execution of courseware delivery.
Participate in wargame scenario development, in order to ensure C5I principles can be evaluated during scenario execution.
Provide C5I observational and evaluative inputs to Military instructor staff during continuous instruction; additionally, provide guidance to students and Strike Group/ARG/Afloat MAGTF staffs as they apply their training knowledge through wargames, both in-house and on distributed to ships in port.
Perform the function of the TTGP Command Knowledge Management Officer (KMO), advising on and implementing command IM-KM policy.
Develop and refine C5I products for training and command administration.
Requirements:
US Citizen
Minimum US Secret Clearance; eligible for TS//SCI
Bachelor’s degree (no specific discipline) may be waiverable with enough applicable experience
Candidates should hold a nationally recognized certificate in Knowledge and/or Information Management; candidates may demonstrate the intent to obtain a certificate within six months of hire
10 years of Maritime Operations/Operational Afloat experience
4 years maritime operational-/strategic-level C2 experience
Classroom instruction Experience
Broad technical background, knowledge, skills and experience in Boards, Bureaus, Cells, Centers, and Working Groups (B2C2WG) Battle Rhythm and Plans (BRP), and Knowledge Management doctrine, principles, and processes within a Navy Strike Group, including the following:
In depth experience implementing or lecturing BRP, and KM principles, doctrine, and TTP (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures) as part of operations or training with Naval Carrier Strike Group, Expeditionary Strike Group, Fleet Staff or Major Training Command staff.
In depth experience implementing and managing the current generation of US Naval CSG/ARG/Afloat MAGTF C5I systems or equivalent joint systems to meet warfare commander operational requirements as part of strike group operations.
Experience conducting Joint military operations within a strike group, including oversight or management of battle rhythm and planning efforts.
Experience utilizing Navy Mission Essential Task List methodology and observational evaluation of TFCC, BR&P and C5I (KM) NMETLs
In depth experience conducting training using current fleet training methodologies/requirements or equivalent military experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Graduate of School of Advanced Warfighting
Strike Group or MAGTF Planning experience such as
Former Strike Group or ESG Chief of Staff or Afloat MAGTF Operations Officer
Fighter Pilot or TAC C2/EW aviator with Strike Group or Afloat MAGTF Planning experience
Strike Group N3 or MAGTF Planner
