Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mechanisms Engineer to join Midland, TX-based pioneering aerospace and telecom company developing the first satellite-based cellular broadband network designed to deliver high-speed mobile connectivity directly to standard smartphones. This position is fully onsite and requires up to a Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities of the Mechanisms Engineer:
- Lead and perform testing activities, including the development of test requirements, procedures, materials, and tooling for vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and assembly processes.
- Drive iterative mechanism design improvements based on test and production environment findings.
- Conduct design, analysis, and system trade studies to optimize Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) processes at both system and spacecraft levels, focusing on workflow efficiency, integration ease, and production speed.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and streamline production layouts by applying expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Provide detailed product and process reports through data collection, analysis, and feedback from operators and technicians.
- Apply sound engineering principles to execute design and analysis tasks in compliance with business standards, procedures, and program requirements.
- Investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analyses, and implement effective resolutions.
- Deliver ongoing manufacturing engineering support to production teams.
Qualifications of the Mechanisms Engineer:
- 3+ years in manufacturing (preferably aerospace industry experience)
- Hands-on experience in Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT)
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
Compensation for the Mechanisms Engineer:
- Salary: $85,000-100,000/year *flexible based on experience
