- Job Title: USCG Watch Officer
- Location: Norfolk, VA
- Contract Layout: Est. "10+ Month Contract"
- Contract Base Pay Rate: $35.00 - $39.00 / Hourly
- Work Schedules: Mon – Sunday 4:00pm - 12:00am & Mon – Sunday 12:00am - 8:00am
*** REQUIREMENTS ***
- Valid USCG License (Deck Officer or Engineering Officer of any rating, as appropriate).
- Demonstrated experience conducting independent shipboard watches in deck or engineering
departments.
- Familiarity with maritime safety, environmental, and security protocols.
Job Description
- Monitor all essential vessel systems and report any irregularities or equipment failures.
- Perform security rounds and log significant observations in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Respond to alarms and initiate emergency actions per onboard protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely logs of watch activities and conditions.
- Communicate emergent issues promptly to Fairlead management and SMT leadership.
- Support readiness for reactivation or maintenance evolutions as needed.
