IT Generalist - Audit Support

TQI Solutions is actively seeking a collaborative and skilled IT Generalist - Assessment & Authorization to support the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This is a fully onsite position. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring system security compliance by assessing risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and supporting all Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities.

Responsibilities:

• Identify key stakeholders in Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts and ensure all system documentation is current, including hardware, software, data flow diagrams, interconnections, and security configurations
• Evaluate system configurations for potential risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies
• Participate in A&A status meetings and support efforts to achieve successful system authorization
• Estimate the level of effort required to complete A&A activities
• Develop and implement test plans; review self-assessment results to determine readiness for Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V)
• Assist program offices in interpreting and applying cybersecurity mitigation strategies
• Conduct IV&V assessments and ensure test results align with Federal cybersecurity standards
• Review system vulnerabilities, architecture, and defense mechanisms; document findings in Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
• Analyze and document residual cybersecurity risks, providing actionable mitigation recommendations
• Create detailed risk assessment reports identifying both initial and residual risks
• Maintain and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and processes as assigned
• Apply Federal cybersecurity guidelines and frameworks to support customer compliance requirements
• Report system security posture using designated reporting tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members on ongoing cybersecurity initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.

Qualifications:

• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Hands-on experience with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes

The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government-granted security clearance.
