Job Description

Overview

Provides maintenance and operational support to include, but not limited to, installation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) instruments, or associated communications materials and infrastructure. Performs Preventive Maintenance on assigned communications equipment and provides on-site customer service and equipment fault isolation. Additionally the Senior Communications Maintenance Technician functions as the assistant Maintenance Control Technician and may be required to perform administration on the Integrated Maintenance Database System (IMDS) to schedule, coordinate, and close out maintenance actions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the Outside Plant systems. Review, submit telephone work order requests for removal, and relocation of telephone services from the vertical frame to the end-user premise.
  • Act as an assistant Maintenance Controller and perform IMDS duties as required during absence of the Primary Maintenance
    Control Technician.
  • Proved an after normal duty hours standby contact procedure for all production work centers at incirlik AB.
    • Review and open telephone trouble tickets within approved government ticketing systems and assigns tickets to technicians for trouble resolution. Record and resolve customer complaint issues. Retain historical maintenance documentation for the life cycle of supported equipment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a High School graduation certificate or equivalent, and successful completion of an applicable US military or civilian technical
    school in Telecommunications.
  • Must possess an active US Security Clearance at the Secret level or greater.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years (falling within the last 6 years) active U.S. military or U.S. military affiliated service experience in the communications
    electronics field performing operations and/or maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Experience in the following areas is desired:
    • Trend analysis, performance monitoring, and status reporting experience. Knowledge of and experience with U.S. DOD military mission, structure,
      doctrine, technical standards and specifications, and security requirements.

Skills:
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
  • Software Technologies: Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), EitaaS, CIPS (WOMS, Work Order
    Management System)
