Background Information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of cutting-edge cloud-based integration, time-critical tactical application development, automated data analysis for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Talent Development Coordinator to be based in our Arlington, VA office. Leveraging advanced software automation, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and AI-driven capabilities, IDT accelerates capability development, enhances operational readiness, and reduces lifecycle costs for the Department of Defense. The company is dedicated to transforming defense systems through innovation, efficiency, and mission-critical results.

Overview:

The Talent Development Coordinator will work as part of the Talent Development team on all aspects of talent engagement with an emphasis in learning and performance management processes, systems, and customer service. This individual will play a critical role in IDT's growth and long-term success. The coordinator will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing the best learning and performance management practices to our employees, maintaining our culture, and creating a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity and interest in human resources and talent development with previous experience in systems, customer support, and creating/providing analytic insights to continuously improve programs. IDT is seeking an energetic and positive candidate with a strong sense of urgency who is capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will also have the opportunity to take on day-to-day operations of the IDT Human Resources office.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Track all professional development requests, type of requests, amount of requests, and call out inconsistencies or concerns with TD leadership
  • Reach out and track employee feedback about their training with Learning Tree
  • Build relationships and collaborate routinely with Learning Tree to track invoicing dates, amounts, course evaluations, changes or cancellations in course registrations
  • Provide metrics to the head of talent development monthly for reporting purposes up to company leadership and offers recommendations on new metrics/insights to track
  • Write content for the IDT monthly News Roundup that highlights talent development opportunities to our employees
  • Lead and execute additional marketing efforts and contribute new ideas
  • Maintain the People Leader monthly calendar invites and update as needed
  • Maintain the accuracy of all tuition assistance requests, compliance with grading requirements and additional required paperwork for reimbursement approvals
  • Provide customer service for all IDT employees as it relates to the learning and performance management aspects of the system
  • Schedule all learning events, manage registrations and completions, evaluation surveys, and attend/manage sessions as needed
  • Tracks all talent development vendor activity, scheduling routine vendor management meetings, tracking invoice timing, monitor budgets and contractual details
  • Additional duties as assigned


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. BA in Human Resources is preferred
  • 1 - 2 years professional experience
  • Strong interest in Human Resources/Talent Development

Required Skills:

  • Customer Service mindset
  • Experience scheduling, tracking, and managing logistics for in-person and virtual meetings and learning programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to track data and training metrics (e.g., participation, outcomes)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for tracking and dashboarding)
  • Solid business communications - both written and verbal

Preferred skills:

  • One year of relevant human resources experience
  • Knowledge of MS Teams and its features to create an interactive, engaging environment
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and HRIS tools, including Cornerstone, Learning Tree, LinkedIn Learning and ADP.
  • Ability to interact professionally with senior-level leaders and IDT internal stakeholders
  • Ability to create and interpret dashboard analytics and make recommendations to improve programs and employee experience
