In this role, you will manage technical activities related to the agency.

Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or a related field (Masters Degree is preferred).
Required Experience: 10+ years of recent applicable experience as outlined above in technical roles such as software development or system administration.
Required Certification: Possess a current Project Management Certification (example: PMI PMP ® )

HOW A INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Directs and manages technical activities related to implementation, transition, upgrades, testing, break fix, operations and maintenance.
- Operational government Point of Contact and contact for government-owned, external vendor solution elements for interoperability activities, communications, and escalations. The Technical Director performs
- Performs technical engineering requirements associated with procurement, sustainment, modification, and performance of specific systems or sub-systems;
- provides technical guidance, data analysis, reports, assist in the coordination of all technical activities to
- include system analysis and facilities with Government oversight for inherently Government activities that require a decision or that might obligate the Government.
- Ensure any performance degradations not specifically and directly delivered services under this call order can be supported in the operational model with the greatest efficiency and least government staff activity.
- Ensures technology alignment to the strategy, roadmap, and technical architecture decisions of the government.

- Ability to think critically about complex systems, demanding customer missions, and continually evolving technical and operational requirements.
- Ability to manage a distributed team of experts without impacting service delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication and project management skills, in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies.
Required Technical Skills:
- Demonstrable experience supporting nation-wide service desk (24/7 operations), event management, ticket lifecycle management and resolution, and account management.
- Deep understanding of business relationship management including identifying and resolving challenges, working closely with customers and organizations to ensure broadly applicable solutions, and continual interaction and feedback with senior customers and stakeholders.
- Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD/WAN), remote access (Zscaler, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)), Virtual Private Cloud, Transit Connects, Transient Gateway, VPN Tunnels, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) components, load balancers, wireless controllers and Wireless Access Points, firewalls, switches, routers, general troubleshooting, etc.
- Hands-on knowledge of legacy Digital or Analog Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs), Key Systems, Phones, Fax Machines, and other traditional telephony devices to an Internet Protocol (IP), Voice over IP (VoIP) or newer technology.
