What You'll Be Doing (Comensurate with level):
Develop, implement, and refine quality assurance methodologies and testing strategies.
Write, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data for various testing phases.
Test and troubleshoot code using complex industry programs and practices to detect quality issues with functionality and performance.
Support and potentially lead contractor and government personnel in diverse testing activities, including Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Regression Testing, Functional Testing, System Level Developmental Testing (DT), Cybersecurity Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Interface/API Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, Unit Testing, Performance/Load Testing, and Compliance Testing.
Review and analyze business and technical requirements to define comprehensive testing needs and ensure complete coverage.
Conduct risk and impact analysis, promptly escalating issues threatening project timelines or quality.
Consult with QA/Test Leads, QA colleagues, development teams, analysts, and end-users to ensure application systems meet all functional, end-user, and compliance/regulatory requirements.
Proactively communicate project status, testing efforts, impediments, and task-specific updates to project team members and QA leadership.
Complete risk assessments and communicate results throughout the development cycle, potentially as a QA point-of-contact for pre-release signoff procedures.
Create and maintain thorough documentation related to organizational and project testing efforts (e.g., test plans, test cases, test results, traceability matrices).
Represent QA in project meetings, collaborating effectively with team members and contributing to discussions with a solution-focused approach.
Train and mentor junior QA resources.
Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies.
What You Will Need (Comensurate with level):
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or an applicable training certificate.
Demonstrable experience (1 - 8+ years, commensurate with specific leveling) in Quality Assurance roles within a project team.
Proven experience with test planning, test case design and management, and defect analysis across various technology stacks (e.g., Java, Oracle, Appian, AWS, MarkLogic).
Recent and relevant experience identifying and executing functional and regression test cases to verify business and technical requirements.
Proficiency with testing software such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Postman.
Experience with relational database systems, including the ability to write SQL queries for testing and data validation.
Strong ability to critically review project documentation (requirements, design documents) and identify QA needs and potential risks.
Excellent capability to proactively identify, articulate, and help resolve issues and obstacles, and report on overall project status.
Experience working with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
Familiarity and experience with projects utilizing agile methodologies (specifically SAFe & Scrum).
Experience supporting an Agile Testing Approach, including the use of Agile Testing Quadrants.
It is highly desirable to have the capability in Design of Experiments (DOE) to plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret controlled tests.
Experience writing automated tests within a Selenium-supported framework is a strong plus.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments (experience with Jenkins, AWS is a plus).
Exceptional written and oral communication skills that foster a team-focused, success-oriented environment.
