Systems Engineer/Architect
Program Summary

Job Summary
This role is ideal for a seasoned IT leader with deep expertise in enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and CAD integration. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of experience in military and civilian IT environments, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering secure, scalable, and compliant solutions
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead daily operations related to systems management, ensuring effective task delegation and mentorship.
• Foster a high-performance culture aligned with ESB implementation goals.
• Spearhead internal training programs and develop onboarding materials.
• Serve as the ESB Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting ongoing development and environment adoption. Advising on transition efforts LOG-IT I&I Team.
• Act as SME for CAD integration tools including CREO, IPEM, CADIQ, ANARK, and MBDVidia.
• Manage translation workflows for 3DPDF, STEP, and QIF formats.
• Administer and maintain AWS-hosted servers, including patching, backups, and certificate management.
• Support provisioning and automation across the ESB ecosystem.
• Leverage tools such as AWS, Active Directory, Apache, BIG-IP, and VPN technologies to ensure secure and scalable operations.
• Apply DISA STIGs and system hardening techniques to maintain cybersecurity compliance.
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and manage audit-readiness documentation (FAM, DADMS).
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives for configuration management and risk assessments.
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on infrastructure scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement system enhancements to support program milestones.
• Standardize environmental and operational processes through documentation and training.
• Coordinate with external teams for system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Represent Systems Management in cross-functional leadership meetings and milestone planning.
• Provide on-demand technical support and manage NNHD trouble tickets.
Basic Qualifications
• Must be a US Citizen
• Bachelors degree and 10+ years of experience in IT systems architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification
• Proven leadership in military and civilian IT environments.
• Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Expertise in AWS, Teamcenter, Apache, Active Directory, JIRA, and SQL-based platforms.
• Strong background in system hardening, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with CAD and PLM tools and enterprise integration workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting NAVAIR or other DoD programs.
• AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect).
• Familiarity with eQube-MI, TcRA, and OOMA platforms.
• Background in aviation logistics and tactical information systems.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $113,960-170,940.
The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
