Position Overview

The ATC Operational Publications Division (OPD) provides services to create, update, and distribute technical documents to support Coast Guard aviation missions through the development, sustainment, and distribution of current and accurate technical information in the most efficient and timely manner.

Essential Job Function

• The Lead will QA all contract work performed within the OPD, attend meetings as required, and assign work and priorities to other writers.

• Arrange for personnel to attend working groups, meetings, and discussions concerning flight manual improvements with notification to the TOCOR.

• Work closely with government personnel on improving the processes, procedures, and techniques of management of the flight manual program and assist the government with writing and establishing policy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Shall possess the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to oversee all aspects of the flight manual program and operations.
