Job Responsibilities
The Technical Control Facility (TCF) Supervisor wi ll be the day-to-day operator of the TCF. Ensure the equipment necessary for ensuring fast, reliable, and secure exchange of information.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Promina 400/800 multiplexers.
- Possess in-depth understanding of Global Positioning System (GPS) network timing schemes and devices.
- Exhibit strong expertise in signal flow, wiring schematics, network timing, and signal conversion.
- Proficient in using testing, measurement, and diagnostic equipment including but not limited to Fireberd 8000, T-Berd 6000, Fluke 199, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Familiar with the various networks utilized within Regional Command and the ISAF IJC environments.
- Experienced with encryption devices such as KIV-19A, KIV-7 family, KG devices, TACLANE devices, and similar equipment; skilled in configuring cryptographic devices to communicate with DISA, Marine Corps, and joint units.
- Knowledgeable in cryptographic fill procedures, including loading encryption devices, verifying fill segments, and operating the Simple Key Loader (SKL).
- Skilled in Cisco IOS-based routers (3900, 3800, 2800 series) and switches (6500, 4500, 3700 series).
- Well-versed in IP communications, including packet analysis.
- Proficient with Layer 3 technologies such as EIGRP and HSRP.
- Familiar with Layer 2 technologies including Rapid Spanning-Tree Protocol (RSTP).
- Utilize network management tools such as SolarWinds to monitor , evaluate, and report on the health and status of WAN/LAN networks.
- Experienced in the operation and deployment of Microwave Line-of-Sight systems (WPPL, Airaya , MRC-142C), Troposcatter , and Satellite communications systems (DKET, SWAN, SNAP).
- Possess strong network troubleshooting skills.
- Skilled in technical documentation, including development of equipment programming records, network architecture diagrams, and equipment string diagrams.
- Provide on-site coordination for installation, troubleshooting, and restoration of WAN/LAN and special interest circuits.
- Maintain detailed records of circuit installation, maintenance, and termination activities, providing timely and accurate status updates to systems control and engineering teams.
- Supervise and coordinate the efforts of technicians across functional areas to ensure completion of network-related tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable).
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required .
- At least seven (7) years of experience in a military environment related to tactical network systems .
- Required certifications include: Network+, Security+ , and CCNA .
- Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.
Education
- Associates degree in Networking preferred, OR 11 total years of recent specialized experience.
