Position: Senior Financial Accountant
Overview:
A dynamic organization supporting federal contracts is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with a strong background in government accounting. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who understands FAR, DCAA compliance, and indirect rate structures and can confidently navigate the financial landscape of federal contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support DCAA-compliant reporting
• Develop and monitor indirect rates, budgets, and incurred cost submissions (ICS)
• Ensure accurate cost allocations and support proposal pricing efforts
• Maintain compliance with federal regulations (FAR, DFARS) and internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies (DCAA, DCMA)
• Assist with tax estimates, filings, and financial analysis for strategic planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and special projects
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a federal contracting environment
• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is required
• Strong knowledge of government cost principles and compliance requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
