Job Description

The Building People, LLC, is recruiting for a Grant Support Specialist supporting federal clients. The Grant Support Specialist performs a wide range of contract/grant administration functions to assist the Government PCO/Grants Officer in acquisition planning, preparation of acquisition strategy plans and briefings, preparation of Justification and Approval (J&A), source selection plans and other contractual documentation.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • The staff shall support the Financial Assistance Office in the preparation and drafting of pre-award documents.
  • The staff shall monitor and process, coordinate correspondence, assist with evaluation and selection planning, and ensure files are appropriately documented for all financial assistance pre-award/award tasks.
  • The staff shall provide advice and assistance to the Government in the planning, negotiation, and administration of financial assistance action.
  • The staff shall perform a variety of system administration tasks including site coordination, planning, analysis, and integration.
  • The staff shall prepare financial assistance documents.
  • The staff shall prepare award modifications, monitor awardee progress and financial status reports, assist with invoice review, and perform award closeout financial assistance post-award administration tasks.
  • The staff shall conduct file and document research, develop, manage, and maintain team databases and knowledge repositories, and gather data from multiple financial and procurement systems.
  • The staff shall perform financial assistance award closeout tasks in accordance with the applicable closeout regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
  • The Contractor shall conduct file and document research; develop, manage, and maintain team databases and knowledge repositories, and gather data from multiple financial and procurement systems.


Skills & Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Ten (10) years' experience


Required Education
  • B.S. or B.A. in a related discipline that provides the functional skills to perform the functions and responsibilities described in the PWS.


Preferred Education
  • PMP certification is desirable
Qualifications
