We are looking for a District Systems Administrator to support the site supervisor daily in the successful operations of Windows Server Operating Systems, operational transition of enterprise solutions into production, and other systems administrator responsibilities for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) under the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) contract.

Working and building infrastructure throughout the world in support of the USACE mission. RITS will include the opportunity to move additional IT services to the cloud, and streamline end user support and services, while building and maintaining state of the art solutions.

What will you be doing?

Supports USACE on-site in Walla Walla, WA. With plenty of sunshine year-round, Walla Walla is the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors! Explore the mountains, rivers, and trails – there is plenty of rolling hills for cyclists, hikers and outdoor explorers!

Apply your technical skills and experience to create success and help the site supervisor daily with various technical needs that ensure the highest level of guaranteed service to USACE. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments.
• Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions.
• Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
• Provide support for Active Directory (AD) accounts and groups, network storage, servers, and Exchange accounts.
• Primary escalation POC for local servers, storage, network, and telecom outages, projects, and Enterprise Operations issues.
• Follow documented processes and procedures and monitor ticketing system, district and divisional incidents and requests, and address local Service Delivery requirements.
• Work closely with other support personnel to provide top-tier support to on-site and remote personnel.
• Provide expert technical knowledge.
• Maintain currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise.

Requirements:
• Must have a DoD Secret Clearance.
• BA/BS Degree or 4 additional years of network and IT systems support experience.
• 5+ years of applicable Systems Administration work experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (examples include: Security+ CE, A+ CE, Network+ CE, SCCP, CCNA-Security certifications).
• Must obtain appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment.
• Comprehension of NTFS file share permissions.
• Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos and LDAP.
• Basic networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, OpenVPN).
• Must be an independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills.
• Interim Secret Clearance required prior to start.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Strong analytical and follow through skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments.
• Ability to work well independently on defined tasks.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
