Linchpin Software, an innovative small business, is seeking a cloud-savvy DevOps engineer to support mission-critical systems used by thousands of users daily. In this role, you'll do more than just keep the lights on — you'll shape the future of cloud operations for systems supporting over 10,000 users. From cloud architecture to automation, you'll lead the charge in building secure, resilient, and efficient solutions. You'll work independently and collaboratively to migrate legacy systems, automate infrastructure, and enable development teams to thrive in AWS.
Role Focus:
1) Design, implement, and maintain secure and highly available cloud environments using AWS.
2) Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems through cloud-native rearchitecting and migration strategies.
3) Support large-scale production systems with an eye toward uptime, reliability, and performance.
4) Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure with DevSecOps best practices.
5) Partner with development teams to solve infrastructure challenges and enable rapid, stable software delivery.
Key Technologies and Concepts:
1) Amazon Web Services (AWS)
2) Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash)
3) DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tooling, and containerization (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
4) Monitoring and observability in production environments (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus)
5) Security, cost optimization, and disaster recovery in cloud environments
Ideal Experience:
1) Experience in managing live production workloads in AWS
5) Experience deploying and managing containerized applications, with bonus points for Kubernetes knowledge supporting Java or NodeJS services.
7) Assisted development teams with application-level debugging to accelerate resolution of production issues.
8) Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with software teams and mission customers to improve outcomes.
