Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced S3 Operations Staff Analyst to support the Space Forces-Space (S4S) S3 Operations Directorate at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. In this role, you will serve as a national security space operations subject matter expert (SME), providing operational-level advice to command leadership and supporting the development of military space operations plans and policies. You will work closely with U.S. Space Command, Space Operations Command, Combatant Commands, and other stakeholders to ensure unity of effort in space operations across military, civil, commercial, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, analyze, and assess Command and Control, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and Space Situational Awareness (SSA) concepts, architectures, and requirements.
- Provide analytical and administrative support for joint space operations planning in alignment with Joint Publication 5-0.
- Develop strategies, policies, CONOPS, and recommendations to optimize space operations goals and objectives.
- Review and draft space operations documents including orders, directives, instructions, and agreements.
- Analyze impacts of global sensor issues, space events, and policy changes on mission operations.
- Support resolution of anomalous events and policy shifts affecting space operations.
- Assist with Commander Priorities, Readiness, and Operations Assessments.
- Participate in technical meetings and working groups such as Lessons Learned and Rules of Engagement.
- Provide knowledge management support for operations and staff data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 7 years of experience.
- Prior experience supporting military operations, planning, and policy development.
- Familiarity with space operations in the context of joint operations.
- Strong understanding of military doctrine, command relationships, and operational authorities.
- Ability to research, analyze, and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders including military, civil, and commercial partners.
- U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience.
- Experience with space operations centers and joint operational environments.
- Knowledge of the Space Surveillance Network, electromagnetic interference, and SDA.
- Background in missile warning, GPS/PNT, and AFSCN operations.
Compensation:
- Salary is $150,000 depending on experience.
