IT Systems Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Systems Manager to join a Federal Program located in Washington, DC .

Responsibilities of the IT Systems Manager include:

· Provides direct and indirect leadership, coaching, and training to systems professionals

· Guides team members in meeting project timelines and resolving technical challenges

· Monitors system performance and implements enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency

· Develops, manages, and enforces schedules and performance benchmarks

· Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding team members

· Identifies opportunities to improve information systems and develops strategies to implement new technologies

· Oversees the management of user accounts, system security, workflows, and secure connectivity

· Administers and enforces all information systems policies, procedures, and governance standards

Qualifications for the IT Systems Manager include:

• Extensive experience with VMware for virtualization deployment, management, and troubleshooting
• Strong background in storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and enterprise backup (Commvault)
• Proficient in Windows and Linux server environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
• Knowledge of database systems like SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
• Strong grasp of IT security, compliance standards, and best practices
• Experience applying ITIL frameworks and DevOps principles
• Skilled in SLA/OLA management, Knowledge Management, Service Delivery, Continuous Improvement, and Problem Management

· 10+ years of experience in related field

· Bachelor's degree required or years of experience in lieu of degree

· Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance and/or Active Q Clearance

Compensation for the IT Systems Manager includes:

· Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
