DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:

All Points is seeking licensed, trained, and qualified High-Voltage Electricians (HVE) capable of supporting the "campus-wide" electrical system for a Federal Agency in Washington, DC area.

The HVE shall be "on-call" 24/7 to support the Electrical System.
Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Implements, analyzes and refurbishes transformers, converters, regulators, circuit breakers, distribution lines and other electrical equipment.
• Runs tests on electrical instruments to measure power generation and distribution.
• Handles routine maintenance to prevent issues with equipment.
• Follows and enforces safety rules and regulations.
• Assists to train new electricians and personnel.
• Replace equipment that is damaged beyond repair.
• Follows work order, documents modifications when requested

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ Years

SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Active, current, and fully adjudicated US DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Unfortunately, candidates that do not have an active TS Clearance are not eligible

The HVE shall possess certified training as listed below.

• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Electrical Power Testing Level II Certification
• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace Certification
• OSHA ten hour and 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (at time of hire)
• American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level I Infrared Thermography Certification

The HVE shall have demonstrated experience with:

• Square D Equipment such as P24 Switch Gear, VR MV Breakers, and Master Pack Breakers
• ASCO transfer switches
• Doble® Insulation Analyzers
• GE Relays
• SEL Relays
• Square D Equipment such as P24 Switch Gear, VR MV Breakers, and Master Pack Breakers
• ASCO transfer switches
• Variable Frequency Drives by ABB, Yaskana, Square D and GE

Completion of the following National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) training courses:

• IDEAL Manufacturer Training: Introduction to Power Quality and Voltage Monitoring
• Cable Splicing Certification
• Industrial Power Systems

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
