HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software
• Support equipment installs, move, add, change requests.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user devices and peripherals.
• Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions
• Provides remote support access through desktop mirroring and other remote access applications for worldwide sites
• Identify, investigate, resolve, and follow-up problems brought to the helpdesk by users of cloud infrastructure
• Perform Enhance Trusted Agent (ETA) duties
• Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
• Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Installs, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software both in person and using remote access tools
• Required: IAT Level II certificate is required (Ie Security + and Computing Environment Certificate such as MD -102
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
• Required Skills and Abilities: Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• Travel may be required to support the mission
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Act as a resource to train end-users on proper system use, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Offer remote support to government clients as needed, guiding them through troubleshooting steps when on-site visits are not feasible.
• Maintain a productive working relationship with direct and indirect customers while protecting the business interests.
• Assist with customer needs and strive to resolve any issues in a prompt manner.
• If required must work shift work, to include on-call holidays and weekends.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset.
• Location: US Embassy, Bogota, Colombia.
• Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
