Play a pivotal and highly influential role throughout the entire engineering lifecycle, providing both technical leadership and strategic direction to ensure the success of complex systems and projects.
Lead technical teams in the process of gathering, analyzing, and refining system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. Define and manage requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle, ensuring all system needs are documented and met.
Architect and design complex systems, integrating hardware, software, and network components to meet performance, scalability, and security goals. Oversee system modeling, interface definition, and trade studies to select optimal solutions.
Oversee the implementation and integration of system components, ensuring seamless interoperability and alignment with design specifications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, operations) to ensure cohesive system development.
Develop robust verification and validation (V&V) strategies, ensuring systems are rigorously tested against requirements and regulatory standards. Analyze test results, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive resolution of defects.
Oversee system deployment, ensuring smooth transition from development to operational environments. Monitor system performance, optimize operations, and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.
Lead efforts in system maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management, including risk assessments, cost analysis, and planning for scalability and end-of-life. Ensure systems remain compliant with evolving standards and business needs.
Manage and monitor all aspects of the product or system lifecycle, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking. Drive continuous improvement by researching emerging technologies and integrating best practices.
Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making: Support maintenance and documentation to account for operation, maintenance, calibration, and upgrades to the required systems. This includes Operator Manuals, System Specifications, and Calibration Procedures. And provide input for Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Statement of Objectives (SOOs).
