Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer. Lead a team transitioning a prototype large language model (LLM) framework into production for thousands of users. You'll architect a premier, enterprise-level LLM for use by developers, analysts, and leadership at a critical defense organization. You'll work with the prototype team to guide the LLM to production, ensuring stability across all use cases. Collaborating with government stakeholders, you'll gather requirements and lead your team to implement them. You'll also partner with security officers to ensure the application meets the highest security compliance for all mission spaces. This role requires a passion for rapidly and securely deploying cutting-edge technology while navigating uncharted policy areas to ensure smooth production deployment.

- Design the migration path for transitioning the prototype LLM tool suite to an enterprise mission system
- Gather requirements from government stakeholders for current and future enhancements
- Collaborate with the tech lead to ensure timely delivery of features and tasks
- Lead the application through compliance certification and accreditation processes
- Advocate for the adoption of the new tool suite across multiple organizations
Requirements for your new career...
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 20 years of experience leading or aiding in the organization of development teams building production level software
- Experiencing coordinating with tech leads to design and implement an agile workflow
- Experience soliciting requirements from various stakeholders with competing priorities
- Expert level familiarity with productivity tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Familiarity with LLM technologies and their usage patterns, best practices and pitfalls
- Experience attaining compliance certification for a large product
- Ability to sell a product to those that might be skeptical of new technology
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
