About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer Level 2, specializing in High Performance Computing (HPC), to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concept design, prototyping, system lifecycle planning, and experience supporting a Configuration Control Board (CCB). This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of HPC environments to support our mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype advanced computing systems, focusing on high performance and scalability.
- Lead system lifecycle planning activities, ensuring systems meet evolving business needs and performance standards.
- Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) by contributing to configuration management processes, documentation, and decision-making.
- Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Engage in interface definition, design, and configuration changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Derive and manage system and component requirements, ensuring they are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable.
- Develop and implement information assurance strategies to protect system integrity and confidentiality.
- Apply current and evolving standards to ensure system consistency and interoperability.
- Provide technical direction for system integration, including requirements analysis, architecture development, and testing.
Qualifications:
- All candidates must have prior experience at NSA or other intelligence agency and Top Secret/Secret Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Full Scope (FS) Polygraph
- Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, with a focus on HPC environments.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in concept design and prototyping of high-performance computing systems.
- Demonstrated ability in system lifecycle planning and support of a Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in HPC and system engineering.
