Risk Manager

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Client's team.

The Risk Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for

Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

The candidate will:

• Implement a comprehensive risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.
• Identify potential risks across the organization, including internal and external factors, and assess their likelihood and potential impact.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk management controls and procedures, and report on risk exposures and trends to senior management.
• Advise leadership on risk exposures and strategic risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate risk management information and build consensus on risk mitigation strategies across IRES.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
• Prepare and present risk reports to leadership.
• Lead risk incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Participate in program meetings to become familiar with program details, including terminology, points of view, operating constraints, issues, and goals
• Facilitating IRES Director-level RIO meetings as part of the IRES Program Review Board (PRB)
• Presenting the program RIO information at formal reviews
• Keeping the IRES Program management team informed regarding current MDA RIO policies and policy documents

Basic Requirements:

• DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in risk management
• Professional certifications are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-informed decision-making.

Security Clearance Required: Secret
